In an attempt to fix her cheating husband women makes 2-Year-Old Child Sit On Hot Stove

In a very heartbreaking case, it has been reported that a woman made her 2-year-old stepchild to sit on a hot stove as a way to avenge and punish her husband who she suspected was cheating on her.

iHarare learnt from local publication H-Metro, that the woman Yvonne Chifamba (23) and her husband Trust Mangana (27) were both taken into custody on Tuesday and were detained at Waterfalls Police Station. At first the two had agreed to keep the crime as a secret between them. However, they were taken into custody after they finally decided to look for medical help for the minor after they realised that they could not manage the burns on their own.

Speaking to the publication, Deputy provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Webster Dzvova said,

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police would like to confirm that the Waterfalls couple have been arrested in connection with a case involving a minor.

“Circumstances were that that the step-mother of the child had a disagreement with the father accusing him of having extra marital affair.

“It is alledged that during the aurgement the step mother grabbed the child and placed him on a hot stove and it has been reported that the couple agreed to hide the case.

“Investigations have since started and we would like to thank members of the public for giving us information that led to the arrest of the two.

“Police continue to encourage members of the public to report any criminal activities within their communities to police for the law to take its course,”
A close family member gave more information to, H-Metro, that the mother of the child had given the father the child in April at his request.

“We want the law to take its course because we strongly believe that the step mother had planned it prior to this to fix the minor’s mother,”
