Job title: Cleaner

Job purpose:

Individual will make sure that the Offices are clean and in an orderly condition, and help with boardroom refreshments and serve coffee or tea to guests.

Temporary position report at least once or twice per week, working days will work increase as people start coming to work. Could eventually be 5 days per week (9 hours per day) Contract will run for approximately 4 months while permanent employee is on maternity leave.

Skills and experience (work experience qualifications, specialist training skills):

Have a good command of the Afrikaans language
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
Hardworking and professional
Able to adjust easily to a changing schedules or routines
Must be able to schedule and prioritize work.
Ability to understand and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing in Afrikaans and English. Able to multi-task and establish priorities.
Show initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to come up with alternative solutions to problems.
High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
Able to work well under pressure. Pay attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/ Gr 12
Experience required:

+/- 6 Months minimum in similar position
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Job

Performs general tidying up of all office facilities.
Dusting and cleaning surface areas, Polishing furniture and accessories.
General sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, tiled floors and stairs
Vacuums and cleans carpets in all offices and boardrooms
Scrubbing sinks, basins, and toilets in bathrooms
Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
Keeping of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
Maintaining cleaness in all public spaces
Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job
Maintain cleanliness of waiting area
Replenish toilet paper and paper towel dispenser
Refill soap dispenser and air fresheners
Help Receptionists with following
Serve coffee and tea to guests in waiting area.
Prepare Boardrooms before meetings
Refreshments in Boardroom and serves coffee and tea
Cleans Boardroom after Meetings
Must have:

The ability to communicate with colleagues and management
