Duties & Responsibilities
Managing the entire chick processing process
Monitoring Hatchers in final stages of incubation
Maintenance, Service and Checks
Washing & Waste Management
Vaccine handling and application management
Work in any part of the Hatchery
Identify problems and offer solutions in their department
Complies and maintain policy & procedures on Health & Safety and the SOP’S
Staff training
Ensure quality controls
Personnel Management
Load planning
Desired Experience & Qualification
Diploma in Animal Production or Equivalent
At least 3-5 years Supervisory experience
Numerical Proficiency
Incubation Experience
Technical experience on the Air streamer, Petersime
Team player

Duties & Responsibilities
Full responsibility for the smooth running of the Canteen.
• Ensure all Canteen staff always wear the correct uniform (including the appropriate PPE)
• Ensure that all the queries and complaints are being dealt with in an efficient, prompt and courteous manner achieving maximum satisfaction.
• The Cook/Chef must be available and visible on the floor during meal times.
• Timeous production of quality food at optimal cost under hygienic conditions.
• Menu planning and costing.
• Regular research of pricing of kitchen stock and ingredients.
• Ensure that all food service points are set up correctly in accordance with requirements.
• Ensure that all standards and SOPs are adhered to at all times.
• Regular training of the staff to ensure adherence to standards, as well as the development and improvement of skill in the Canteen.
• Ensure that kitchen hygiene standards are adhered to and that proper stock rotation and storage is implemented.
• Inspect each delivery to ensure food items are of the highest quality at all times.
• Track food cost on a daily basis.
• Ensure that potion control is managed at all times.
• Ensure that reprocessing of food is actively implemented and managed.
• Ensure that all the timesheets are filled in correctly and submitted in at wages office.
• Ensure daily housekeeping of the Canteen.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12 or equivalent
• Culinary qualification required
• 2-3 years Kitchen/Canteen Management experience
• Must be a candidate with a willing attitude
• Attention to detail and accuracy
